   | Effect || Raises a wall of fire in a straight line between two selected points. The wall of fire radiates heat only on one side, which is selectable by the caster, dealing rank in damage dice to any creature that is within 2 yards of the wall, including at any point during their movement through the affected area. Additionally, a normal spell damage roll is rolled against any creature that attempts to pass through the wall in either direction, or is directly within the wall itself. Attempting to pass through the wall will sap 1 additional movement point.

As with any persistant fire and cold magical effects, equal rank cold damage passing through the wall's area of effect will cancel each other out, though only to the portion of the area that is affected for each. Lower ranked cold damage is blocked and higher ranked cold damage will snuff out the fire wall, though only in the areas of overlap. For example, an equal rank cone of cold that hits part of the fire wall, but also passes above it will only cancel out each other at the portion of the wall and the lower section of the cone. The remaining portion of the wall will still remain active, as will the upper portion of the cone that would pass over the wall.
Equal- or higher-rank Frost damage passing through the Wall of Fire's area of effect will put out the fire, though only in the areas of overlap. When passing through the wall, lower-ranked Frost damage is negated. Effect Raises a wall of fire in a straight line between two selected points. The wall of fire radiates heat only on one side, which is selectable by the caster, dealing rank in damage dice to any creature that is within 2 yards of the wall, including at any point during their movement through the affected area. Additionally, a normal spell damage roll is rolled against any creature that attempts to pass through the wall in either direction or is directly within the wall itself. Attempting to pass through the wall will sap 1 additional movement point.

Equal- or higher-rank Frost damage passing through the Wall of Fire's area of effect will put out the fire, though only in the areas of overlap. When passing through the wall, lower-ranked Frost damage is negated. For example, an equal rank cone of cold that hits part of the Wall of Fire, but also passes above it will only cancel out each other at the portion of the wall and the lower section of the cone. The remaining portion of the wall will still remain active, as will the upper portion of the cone that would pass over the wall.
