Range Rank x 10 yards from Caster
Area Rank x 4 Yard Radius
Duration Rank minutes
Casting Verbal, Somatic
Action Standard
Cost 3 Mana
Effect The caster draws air away from the targeted point, creating a vacuum that halves targets' speed and slowly draws them into its center. Targets within range of the vacuum must succeed on a Resistance roll vs. (Casting Skill + Casting Stat + Source Rank) or be dragged 2 yards toward the center of the Vacuum. Living targets ending a turn within the Vacuum take 1 lethal damage as the air is drawn from the body and they suffocate. If a target's health reaches 0, the target loses consciousness and begins to take 2 lethal damage per turn. Sound cannot travel through the vacuum, so spells that require a verbal component to cast will fail. Non-magical flames gutter and die immediately, and mundane methods of flight do not function properly within the spell.

Only one Vacuum may be maintained at a time.

At Rank 5, the caster may instead spend a Full Round casting the spell, modifying it to draw the stolen air toward himself and avoid suffocating while within his own spell's target area.
