Targets make a resistance roll vs. the spell's cast roll to avoid detection. This resistance is passive and does not confer an awareness of the spell to the target, even if they resist successfully. Minor rank 1 magic can be detected at maximum range, though relative rank to other nearby active magical auras can confuse the sensed results. Only active and overt magical auras may be detected.
