Some races have a Favored Stat. This denotes how that race is typically just a bit more potent in that area. A bit more dexterous, a bit stronger, a bit smarter. When players spend GXP after character creation to raise that Favored Stat, the cost for Rank 4 is reduced by 10gxp. See the chart in the Primary Stat section for how the points spend changes.

Troll

Trolls are a hulking rocklike race of warriors. They average 9’ tall and several hundred pounds in weight. They have a thick leather hide which secretes a fluid that hardens into a calcified stony armor across their body. They have hard translucent milky white membranes protecting their eyes, no external ears, and pronounced brow ridges. They are supernaturally strong and tough, but have limited ability with magic.

Feran

Feran are an agile feline race. They have cat-like faces and fur across their entire bodies. They are bipedal, with reversed knees, tails, and paws with opposable thumbs and retractable claws. Female Feran are larger and more muscular than the males.

Svaald

Svaald are an ice dwelling blue skinned race with large white manes of hair. They are shorter than your average human, but have long arms for their height. The blue skin ranges in tone from deep ocean blue to a lighter sky blue, and their eyes resemble smoothly polished gems. They have very broad shoulders and hips with rippling muscles.

Human

Human vary drastically in skin and hair colors, across different regions and cultures. They have the same variety as humans in the real world.

High Elf

High Elves have pale skin and light hair colors ranging from blonde to nearly burnished metallic silver/gold. They have very long upswept ears, and narrow slender bodies. They are the most magically gifted of the elven peoples.

Wood Elf

Wood Elves have tanned or olive skin and medium/dark hair colors. They have shorter upswept ears than the noble High Elves, and broader shoulders and hips. They are the most lithe and agile of the elven peoples.

Wild Elf

Wild Elves have dark skin ranging from dark brown to nearly black. Their hair is dark and they tend to be much more heavily muscled than other elves. They have short upswept ears like their cousins the Wood Elves. They are the most hardy and militant of the elven peoples.

Elari

An ageless androgenous demonic race with bone-white skin covered with arcane tattoos, retractable bone blades, and fiercely glowing red eyes. Human height, but thinner, with white hair, often dyed black or bright colors. Teeth are pointed, and small bony protrusions on face and arms are common.

Faerie

Small winged humanoids approximately 1’-2’ tall with glittering gem-like eyes and slender bodies. A variety of flesh tones with nearly metallic sheen, and brightly colored hair. They are ageless, but energetic and flighty causing many to view them as childlike. However, they possess powerful magic and are one of the oldest races in the world.

Half Breeds

Although rare, some of the races in Lorithandar can generate mixed-breed offspring. These offspring have a mix of their parents benefits depending on how they were raised.

Other Races

Draeken

Tall bipedal draconic race of solitary hunters with magic cancelling powers.
