Effect | The caster gains the ability to move vertically at will, pushing at the ley of the surface below them to raise themselves vertically. While this spell is in effect, the caster gains a vertical component to their Speed. They may transition from horizontal movement across a surface to vertical movement, and vertical movement to a movement across a surface within the same move action. The caster may not move horizontally while levitating unless the action taken is onto a solid surface via walking or jumping, or the action is an appropriate transient action such as feather fall, fly, or actually falling.
For example: Magnar has a speed of 11, and casts Levitate, using her move action to move forward 4 yards to be next to a building wall, then 6 yards vertically to the be next to the roof of the building, then steps out of the vertical action onto the roof 1 yard. The caster may not charge in the same round as using a vertical speed. |
