The Cult of the Void, also called The Cult of Forbidden Shadows, worships an ancient power similar to the All Father, which has been prevented from reaching Lorithandar by the Void. They seek a way to open the Void and "free" Lorithandar into the multi-verse.
A characteristic of the cult is complete and utter debasement. If anything could be truly evil, the cult is a strong example. The cult has a way of infecting people with a touch, of bringing them further into their debasement. They can turn anyone with enough time, and these silent agents may be anyone. A mother, a sister, a lover, all could be agents of the Void and you would never know until they cut your throat for a dark ritual.
