The caster may perform a 10 minute ritual which summons and binds a rank 1 Outsider to their service as a Familiar. The familiar must be from the same plane the caster draws their power from. This binding is permanent and does not count towards manifestation limit. If the familiar is killed, the Sorcerer may perform a new ritual to bind a new rank 1 Outsider.

Rank 2 - Summon Outsider
Effect:

The caster may perform a 10 minute ritual to summon and bind a chosen type of Outsider to his will. A maximum of Rank Outsiders may be bound. With each Rank of Summon obtained the caster learns one specific Outsider type. This requires an opposed roll vs. the Outsider’s Rank x 2. If the caster fails, the summoned Outsider may choose to return to its native plane or attempt to harm the summoner. Regardless, the Outsider is drawn back to its own realm at the end of the spell’s duration.
A successfully bound Outsider may be dismissed or manifested at will for the duration as a Fast Action, however the Outsider may not act until the following round as they adjust to their surroundings.

Rank 3 - Banish
Effect:

Attempts to dismiss an Outsider, if this attempt fails, it deals damage that ignores Magical Defense.

Rank 4 - Planar Wisdom
Effect:
|
- Gain a +2 bonus to Knowledge: Planar
- Gain a +2 bonus to Banishing known Outsider types
- Gain two known Outsider types of Rank 4 or lower

Rank 5 - Black Book
Effect:
|
- Gain a known Outsider type of Rank 5 or lower.
- Inscribe a specific Outsider name in your grimoire. While the creature lives it is permanently bound to the caster.
