Sorcerers using the Drain Seed can drain energy from nearby targets. Targets may not be drained of more Health, Vigor, or Mana than they have available. If a target can be reduced to negative health (such as players or core NPCs) health damage may apply to their maximum negative health value.

Rank 1 - Drain Vigor

Range: Special
Casting: Verbal, Somatic
Defense: Magic Resist
Effect: Apply to a successful physical attack or spell. If target fails a Magic Resist they lose 1 Vigor and the caster gains 1 Vigor. At Rank 3 the target loses an additional 1 Vigor, and at Rank 5 the caster gains an additional 1 Vigor.
Cost: 2 Mana
Push: +1 Potency

Rank 2 - [[Drain Life]

Range: 5 yards x Rank
Casting: Verbal, Somatic
Duration: Instant
Effect: If a living target fails a Magic Resist roll, this spell deals Rank lethal damage to a nearby target healing the caster for the amount drained. The spell may not be used on Undead or Constructs as they do not have life energy to drain.
Cost: 3 Mana
Push: +1 Potency

Rank 3 - Drain Mana

Range: 5 yards x Rank
Casting: Verbal, Somatic
Effect: If the target fails a Magic Resist roll, they lose Rank x 2 mana and the caster gains Rank x 2 mana.
Cost: 4 Mana
Push: +1 Potency

Rank 4 - Mass Drain

Range: 5 yards x Rank
Casting: Verbal, Somatic
Effect: Casting Mass Drain may use Drain Life or Drain Mana to effect a maximum of Rank targets in an arc 5 yards x Rank long and 5 yards wide. Targets failing a Magic Resistance roll suffer the effects of the applied spell.
Cost: 5 Mana
Push: +1 Potency

Rank 5 - Drain Aura

Area: 1 yard radius
Casting: Verbal, Somatic
Duration: 5 Rounds or 3 Charges
Effect: Caster surrounds themselves with a visible cracking aura of draining energy. This aura may drain either the Health or Mana of targets who enter it (chosen when cast) which consumes a charge.
Push: +1 Potency, +1 Duration (1 round)
