| Effect | After spending a Full Round studying and attuning herself to the mannerisms of a non-magical animal or beast, the adept may freely communicate with any creature of the same species for one hour (e.g. if the caster has Communed with a cat, can speak to any breed of cat, but not a dog). The Adept may only communicate with one species at a time. This increases to 2 species at Rank 3, and then to 3 species at Rank 5.
The Storyteller may require an appropriate social skill check to be successful against hostile animals. Communication is accomplished in the animal's language. Animals can communicate clearly what they do understand. Anything that they don't understand would be vague or muddled at best. |
