Representing crafting or creation knowledge, this skill has multiple established subtypes. Not all subtypes are predefined, in fact, any topic not listed here may be selected as a chosen subtype with approval from the Storyteller. Each subtype must be purchased and ranked up separately, allowing for as many subtypes of crafting as the character would like to pursue.

Subtype Area of coverage
Weapons Forging, assembling, and repairing melee and thrown weapons. This includes blades, axes, polearms, and exotic weapons, but not ranged weapons with complex tension systems.
Armor Creation and repair of armor and shields, including metal, leather, hide, and composite armors. This also covers fitting armor to specific races or body plans.
Bowyer Construction and maintenance of bows, crossbows, and similar ranged weapons that rely on tension, balance, and flexible materials. Ammunition such as arrows and bolts is also part of this skill specialization.
Alchemy Brewing potions, reagents, salves, solvents, acids, and non-poisonous alchemical substances.
Poisons Preparation, refinement, and preservation of toxins, venoms, and delivery agents.
Engineering Mechanical devices, traps, locks, clockwork mechanisms, and magitech housings.
Artifice Construction of enchanted item shells, and ley-aligned components. This does not grant spellcasting ability but allows a character to physically build items later empowered by Magecraft, Channeling, or Sorcery.
Textiles & Leatherworking Clothing, cloaks, bags, belts, tents, harnesses, and light armor components.
Instruments Construction of musical instruments, using a variety of materials including wood, metal, or more exotic components.
Brewing Creation of various forms of alcohol.
Masonry Worked stone, fortifications, sculptures, roads, and architectural elements. Particularly relevant for large-scale construction and siege environments.

Uncommon Crafting Skills

Some crafting types are extremely rare and may only be utilized in certain regions of the world where it is available with Storyteller approval.

Subtype Area of coverage
Airships/Aeronautics Physical construction and repair of airships, arcane engines, and large-scale magical conveyances.
Siegecraft Ballistae, catapults, fortified structures, and battlefield engineering. This is large-scale and military focused.
