Practitioners of the Way of the Phoenix learn to forge a Soul Blade as their first expression of mastery. It is the outer shape of their inner strength. As a Fast Action, summon a glowing weapon formed from your soul. The Adept may shape the weapon into the form of any one-handed melee weapon. The weapon vanishes if it leaves the Adept's hands. Attacks with the Soul Blade are made with Dexterity + Soulforging Skill + Phoenix Discipline and ignore physical armor, but not dodge or magical defense. Unlike other purely magical weapons, Soul Blade may benefit from the Infuse Prowess, but not other forms of weapon Enhancements. The Soul Blade puts off light twice a bright as a standard torch, and may be suppressed (sheathed) or re-ignited (drawn) as a Fast action within the duration. The color of this light is chosen when this ability is taken and represents the visible light spectrum of the Adept's soul.
