Instead of speaking to locals or gathering information openly, you listen to the social vibrations of the world, the glances, the silences, the changed rhythms of conversation. After spending 1 day in a region, you may activate this power to passively gather a hidden truth.
- Spend 1 hour observing your environment (marketplaces, taverns, corridors, courtyards, etc.).
- Then roll Sense Motive + Spider Discipline vs. a flat difficulty set by the Storyteller (typical: 2–4).
- On success, the Storyteller reveals a sensitive truth circulating quietly; one you would not be told directly. Examples: secret meetings, blackmail, betrayal, hidden alliances, missing persons, concealed agendas.
- This may be used once per region per session.
