The Summon Seed is perhaps the most high-risk, high reward Seed available to Sorcerers. When successful, Summoners may call upon powerful Outsiders and bind them to their will; however, should they fail to properly bind an Outsider, they run the risk of being attacked and their surroundings destroyed. Whole villages have been leveled by a summoning gone wrong. In places such as The Free Cities, those who are capable of Summoning are highly regulated in what they are and are not able to do.
Rank | Name | Description |
---|---|---|
1 | Familiar | The caster may perform a small ritual to summons and bind a Rank 1 Outsider to their service as a Familiar. The familiar must be from the same plane the caster draws their power from. |
2 | Summon Outsider | Caster may attempt to summon an Outsider and temporarily bind them to their will. |
3 | Banish | Caster may attempt to force an outsider to return to its home plane. |
4 | Planar Wisdom | The caster has an edge when it comes to knowledge regarding Outsiders. |
5 | Black Book | Upon successfully binding an Outsider the caster may inscribe the Outsider's true name in their grimoire. While the creature lives it is permanently bound to the caster. |
