Effect | If a combined 1 square yard of stone or rocks is available within 1 yard of the target, a lethal spike of stone stabs from the ground underneath a target when cast. The target is impaled, dealing Lethal damage based on the Casting roll (Intelligence + Magecraft + Earth Sphere). This may be modified by the target's Physical Defense, ignoring Dodge and gaining +2 Armor Piercing. At Rank 5, the Armor Piercing bonus increases to +3.
If at least 1 lethal damage is dealt by the spell, the target gains a Bleed condition, immediately dealing Rank x 1d10 damage, which decreases by 1d10 each subsequent turn. The bleed effect caused by this spell does not stack with itself, however the duration will reset if applied again. If the caster has Fire Sphere at Rank 2 or higher, the spike may be created in sandy terrain, creating a spike of glass. |
