Effect Raises a wall of liquid stone (lava, magma) in a straight line between two selected points. The wall of lava radiates heat in all directions, dealing rank in damage dice to any creature that is within 1 yards of the wall, including at any point during their movement through the affected area. Additionally, a normal spell damage roll is rolled against any creature that attempts to pass through the wall in either direction, or is directly within the wall itself. Passing through the wall is possible, however deadly. If the creature attempting to pass through the wall is less than half the height of the wall, all movement is stopped once they begin to enter the lava, and the damage is rolled. Damage is rolled again on the caster's next turn, however, the creature is free to extricate themselves from the wall in either direction on their next turn, assuming they survive. This extrication saps 2 additional movement points from their movement. Lava clinging to them will continue to burn them for rank in damage dice as long as the original wall persists, or until appropriate negation measures are taken.

As with any persistent fire and cold magical effects, equal rank cold damage passing through the wall's line of effect will cancel each other out, though only to the portion of the area that is affected for each. Lower ranked cold damage is blocked and higher ranked cold damage will cool the lava to stone (per Wall of Stone), though only in the areas of overlap.
