The Ward Seed allows casters to create temporary magical barriers that prevent damage.

Favored Seed: Sorcerers with the chosen Plane of Aaru do not risk Backlash for the first push.

Rank Name Description
1 Minor Ward Conjures a protective magical barrier around the target that prevents Rank non-lethal damage. This barrier acts like temporary Health that is absorbed before damage is assigned. Ward may not prevent damage from Backlash. Multiple Wards will not stack, a higher Rank Ward will overwrite a lower one. The caster may only maintain a number of wards equal to Rank
2 Self Ward Functions as Minor Ward, except that the protection applies to lethal damage, and only the caster may be affected.
3 Major Ward Wards against lethal damage may now be cast on other targets.
4 Mass Ward The caster may affect multiple targets when casting Ward.
5 Reflect This ward reflects magical attacks back at the caster.

Fusion Spells: These spells are available with the required Ranks from both listed Seeds.

Required Ranks Name Description
Slay 3, Ward 2 Death Ward Wards provide protection against death magic.
Ward 3, Veil 2 Shimmering Ward Caster can provide concealment to a Warded target.
