The Wolf

Overview

The Wolf is a primal deity mainly focused and concerned with hunting, beasts, and the more savage aspects of nature. The Wolf has started to gather a following that acts as a decentralized religion that focuses heavily on survival, communing with nature, and reveling in the hunt. He shares many of his followers with that of his Lady, The Lady of Thorns.

The Wolf often uses his Pacthounds and other allied creatures as intermediaries when interacting with his worshippers. His courtship of the Lady of Thorns has ingratiated him with her own worshipers; and his subordinates can often be found alongside her religion as well, providing protection, guidance, and companionship to her worshippers.

History

The Wolf was originally a powerful shapeshifter from the Outer Wilds, however, the name he was once known by has not been used in some centuries and it is unclear if he would still acknowledge such a thing. He originally found his way to Lorithandar after coming in contact with the Lady of Thorns; enticed by her savagery and beauty, he followed her to her home and has remained ever since. The Wolf does not hold power over a Domain of his own currently, but through his presence on Lorithandar has started gathering power and amassing worshippers. He has been able to, in a limited manner, bless some of his more avid followers with his gifts as his powers grow, and he may soon step into true goodhood.

The Wolf does not hold any specific sites as areas of worship but word of him does spread through the first of his clergy. Many of his clergy are sorcerers that specialize in transformation magic, through worship and the guidance of The Wolf their control over their form and powers are said to be greatly increased.
