| Effect | A large area is sanctified in a ritual to the Deadlords, causing a Blight to fill the area, and granting Undead in the area +Rank Maximum Health. Channeling spells of any Patron other than the Deadlords suffers a -6d10 penalty while in the area effected by Desecration. An ordinary Blight may not be cast within the area effected by Desecration. The caster and any living devotees of the Deadlords are immune to the negative effects of the Desecration. Only Rank Desecration's may be active at one time, however the caster can end the effect at will.
If an area is designated as a Dominion of Dread and a Desecration it becomes a Desecrated Dominion. In addition to gaining all of the effects of both powers, living creatures entering the area suffer –3d10 to Magic Resistance against both Fear Domain and Corruption Domain effects. Any Avatar of Dread manifested within a Desecrated Dominion gains Undead traits for the duration: it is treated as a Wraith entity. |
